ANIMAL ARTIST (3D) WANTED
MadGoat is hiring talented 3D Animal Artists for a new unannounced project!
Taking this position in our project, your role will be to deliver high quality, rigged and animated animals, as well as improving our existing animal assets with new animations and quality updates.
The general theme of our project is “Australia” so you can expect to model various kinds of australian animals from the smaller Wombats to more complex Kangaroos.
Requirements:
Ability to model and texture physically accurate animals based on reference imagery.
Ability to accurately rig and animate 3D animals for video games workflows (Unity).
Experience with optimizing meshes for video games (LOD subdivision etc.).
Experience with Unity Engine (Import workflow, mecanim, animation states etc.).
General knowledge of PBR texturing.
Nice to have:
Experience with both Blender and 3DSMax (we have older assets that might need tweaking in either of those).
Knowledge of XFur Studio plugin for rendering animal fur inside Unity.
Knowledge of Unity HDRP renderer.
Basic Version Control knowledge (PlasticSCM).
Position is offered as Freelance/Contracted Work, paid by hour. Rates will be discussed once we get to know more about you and agree upon a time of completion.
